古物古蹟辦事處公布多項古蹟開放安排:元朗新田麟峯文氏宗祠於2026年3月21日至2027年6月21日暫停開放;尖沙咀前九廣鐵路鐘樓正進行維修工程至2026年底,期間以圍板遮蔽;元朗屏山鄧氏宗祠局部關閉;香港文物探知館庭院暫停開放。配合「盛世漢風」大型展覽,發展局轄下古物古蹟辦事處即日起至2026年9月20日提供免費交通及粵語、普通話、英語導賞服務,供學校及慈善團體申請。

Man Lun Fung Ancestral Hall, San Tin, Yuen Long – temporarily closed from 21 March 2026 to 21 June 2027

Former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower, Tsim Sha Tsui – currently undergoing maintenance works until late 2026. During this period, hoardings and scaffolding have been erected, and the Clock Tower will not be visible to the public.

Tang Ancestral Hall, Ping Shan, Yuen Long – partially closed

The Courtyard of the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre is currently closed for renovation work until further notice. The opening hours of exhibition galleries and other facilities of the Centre remain unchanged. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. For enquiries, please call 2208 4488.

Good News! To complement the mega exhibition, ‘The Majestic Han: A Golden Age of Vigour and Cultural Integration’, the Antiquities and Monuments Office of Development Bureau is offering free transportation and group docent services in Cantonese, Putonghua and English from now till 20 September 2026. Eligible schools, and charitable and non-profit making organisations are most welcome to apply for the service.

Starting from 14 February 2026, Cheung Chun Yuen and Lik Wing Tong Study Hall in Kam Tin are closed to the public until further notice. Besides, the part to tour Cheung Chun Yuen during the Tang Kwong U Ancestral Hall guided tour to be held on the third Sunday of every month is also cancelled until further notice. The ‘Introduction’ and ‘Archaeology’ Sections (except The ‘Prehistoric Period’, ‘Han Dynasty’ and ‘Ming Dynasty’ parts of the ‘Archaeology’ Section) of the “Explore Our Heritage” Permanent Exhibition at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre are closed from 2 February – 20 September 2026) to facilitate the staging of 'The Majestic Han: A Golden Age of Vigour and Cultural Integration’ exhibition. The “Built Heritage” Section remains open.

Antiquities and Monuments OfficeOctober 2025

The Development Bureau has included Fong Yuen Study Hall in Batch VI of the “Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme”. The selected non-profit-making organisation, The Boys’ Brigade, Hong Kong, will revitalise Fong Yuen Study Hall into “Fong Yuen Study Hall – Experiential Learning Centre”. The revitalisation works is anticipated to be completed in the second half of 2026.

To facilitate the revitalisation works, Fong Yuen Study Hall (including toilets) has been temporarily closed from 22 July 2025. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.
