外國遊客：What happens to the Star Ferry during a typhoon? Can I still cross the harbour?

The Star Ferry (天星小輪) suspends all services when the Hong Kong Observatory hoists Typhoon Signal No. 8, usually 1-2 hours before the signal is raised. During Signal No. 3 or below, ferries run normally but may be delayed. After the typhoon passes, services resume within 2-3 hours, but check the Star Ferry website or call 2367 7065 for updates. If the ferry is suspended, use the MTR (Tsuen Wan Line or Island Line) to cross the harbour instead. Plan ahead, as the last ferry may leave early.
